Robotic-Assisted Surgery
Robotic-assisted surgery is a form of minimally invasive surgery in which the surgeon controls the instruments from a console. The robotic system does not operate by itself; every movement is made by the surgeon. Dr. Naser Dib's CV and professional profile record robotic-assisted colorectal procedures performed using the da Vinci Surgical System.
How robotic-assisted surgery works
The surgeon sits at a console and views a magnified three-dimensional image from a camera inside the body. Hand movements are translated into precise movements of small, wristed instruments introduced through small incisions. A surgical team remains at the patient's side throughout.
Is robotic surgery the right choice?
Evidence comparing robotic-assisted and conventional laparoscopic surgery differs between operations. The choice depends on the condition, the patient's anatomy and health, and the availability of a robotic system. Availability should be confirmed during consultation; this page describes documented experience and does not indicate where a system is available.
