General & Gastrointestinal Surgery
General surgery is the surgical specialty that diagnoses and treats a broad range of conditions, particularly those of the abdominal organs and the digestive tract. Dr. Naser Dib completed first-degree specialisation in general surgery in 1995 and second-degree specialisation in 1999, and has worked in hospital surgical departments in Poland since 1992.
What general surgeons treat
General surgery covers operations on the stomach, small and large intestine, gallbladder, abdominal wall and other abdominal organs. Many operations can now be performed laparoscopically. The appropriate approach is decided for each patient after examination and tests.
Endoscopy in surgical practice
Endoscopy uses a flexible camera passed through a natural opening to examine, and sometimes treat, the digestive tract. Dr. Dib's CV describes advanced endoscopic procedures as part of his work, and his records include a historical 2009 certificate concerning diagnostic and operative gastrointestinal endoscopy.
